Div Com reviews progress of Semi-Ring Road, NH444, Bharat Mala projects | KNO

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 16 (KNO) : Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today directed the officials to expedite the pace of work on all developmental works within stipulated deadline. The Div Com was speaking at a meeting to review the progress on Semi Ring Road, NH444, Bharat Mala and World Bank-funded projects. The meeting was attended by Director NHAI and other officials from various departments. Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Kulgam, Budgam, Ganderbal and Baramulla participated via video conferencing. The Div Com appreciated the work done in this regard in Pulwama and Budgam and directed others to follow the lead. He said that all pending work necessary for disbursal of money to affected families should be completed within 12 days. He said that both NH444 and Semi ring road will greatly help intra and inter district transport. He also issued direction to remove any kind of earth filling or unauthorized construction happening in the vicinity of new roads. The Div Com said that under Bharat Mala, 32 km road stretch from Baramulla to Babareshi has been identified and he directed DDC Baramulla to hold an extensive meeting with the concerned agency for finalizing the alignment. All the DDCs presented their progress of various projects under various heads. The Div Com directed the officials of various department to work in coordination so that all lacunae will be removed and project reach their completion within the stipulated time frame (KNO)
